GasClam® recognised as key to effectively measure high temporal resolution data from shale gas fracking operations.

International publishers of Asian Environmental Technology and Petro Industry News published the paper “Hydraulic Fracture, Gas Seepage and other Environmental Issues Concerning Shale Gas” recently.

The paper states that the gas monitoring technology, GasClam®, is the only device with the capability to effectively collect high temporal resolution data via remote operation, and is protected from theft, interference and water ingress.

The paper explains that: “The limitations on the utility of gas concentration survey data have tended to arise from low temporal resolution – typically measurements every fortnight. Increased temporal resolution in monitoring of ground-gas concentration can reduce the error associated with both quantification of worst case and representative average concentration.”

The paper co-authored by Drs E.H. Rutter and Steve Boult, School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences from the University of Manchester, can be downloaded from the link below.
